ACGME Program Requirements
Year 2
- Six to eight months of clinical rotations
- Continue half-day per week outpatient continuity clinic
- Begin planning and implementation of research project during non-clinical months (study design, protocol development, IRB approval)
- Faculty mentors meet with fellows frequently
- Fellow to submit quarterly reports
- Meet with Rosen, MD and Gould, MD quarterly to review progress
Years 3 and 4
- One to two months of clinical rotations
- Continue half-day per week outpatient continuity clinic (Year 3)
- Supervised research; submit abstracts and manuscripts
- Master's degree in Health Services, Clinical Epidemiology, etc.
- (Clinical investigator track)
- Frequent meetings with research mentor
- Fellow to submit quarterly reports
- Submit grant application (Individual NRSA, ALA, Parker B. Francis, Chest Foundation, K-08 or K-23)
