About our FEllowship program

Welcome to our Stanford Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship page.  Our goal is to provide outstanding clinical and research training to the next generation of leaders in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.

We offer a rigorous 18-20 month clinical fellowship, with rotations at Stanford Hospital, the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, and the Palo Alto VA Health Care System.   By rotating at all three hospitals, fellows are exposed to an unparalleled breadth of clinical pulmonary and critical care medicine.

Research opportunities at Stanford are also outstanding.  Stanford was recently awarded one of only eight NIH/NHLBI Physician Scientist K12 Awards for a Career Development Program in Omics of Lung Diseases , with our K12 program focused on Pulmonary Vascular Disease.  In addition to training opportunities with senior mentors within the PCCM Division, our fellows may pursue specialized research training in top-flight laboratories throughout the vibrant Stanford University campus, where exceptional opportunities exist for research training in such diverse fields as genomics, stem cell research, immunology, vascular biology and the microbiome.

Thank you for your interest in our fellowship and for exploring our website.  Please don’t hesitate to contact us for further information.  We have no positions open for 2014, but encourage you to apply through ERAS for 2015.
